世界中を飛び回るボンドじゃなくて、他の映画に出てるダニエル・クレイグを見てみるかと思って借りました。
「ミュンヘン」はみたことあったけどアメリカ映画だし、
地元イギリス映画ではどんななんだ？と思って借りました。
I just thought "I want to watch Daniel Craig NOT playing James Bond, who travels around all the time."
I've already watched "Munich", which is an American movie.
So maybe I should try something very British one, where is the place he's originally from.
ジョー（ダニエル・クレイグ）は彼女（サマンサ・モートン）とピクニックデートに出かけた。そこでプロポーズするつもりで。
まー、その景色がきれいだったなー
そこで少年が乗ったままの気球が突然上空に上がってってしまったのを発見し、ジョーはその場にいた他の男性と引っ張り降ろして助けようとする。
Joe (Daniel craig) had a picnic date in the English countryside with his girlfriend (Samantha Morton).
It was supposed to be the most intimate one that he's ever had since he was about to propose.
But this romantic afternoon us abruptly interrupted when Joe finds a hot-air balloon plunge to the sky with a boy trapped in its basket.
He tries to pull the balloon down to the ground with some of other men on the spot in order to save the kid.
しかし、どうしても気球が強すぎて、途中で手を離してしまった。
そのとき最後まで手を離さなかった男がいて、その人は不幸にも死んでしまう。
But their attempt was not enough to rescue.
He had to let his hands off from the rope
against his will.
Then a tragic happens on one of the men, who tried the hardest, like holding the rope at the last second.
He was dead...
その後、大学教授としての普通の生活に戻ったジョーだったが、「もし自分があの時手を離していなかったら・・・」という観念に
苛まれ続ける。
Joe can not escape constant thoughts of the balloon incident after he's back to his daily life as a professor.
What if I tried harder... What if I didn't let his hands go...
そんな悶々とした日々を過ごしていた矢先、
全く知らない男から電話がかかってきた。
ジェッドというその男は自分もあのとき一緒に気球を助けようとした一人であると言い、ジョーと会ってその話がしたいと言ってくる。
One day, Joe receives a call from a man whom he doesn't know at all.
He claims that his name is Jed and he's one of the rescuers.
Jed insists they need to meet each other urgently and talk about what exactly happened on that day.
断りきれなくなり一度会うと、
ますますジェッドの行動はエスカレートしていく。
そのたびにジョーの罪悪感を募らせるような発言を残していく。。。
ジョーは次第に憔悴し、恋人との関係もうまくいかなくなってくる。
最後までよく分かんなかったから、結局ジェッドってジョーの頭の中の人物だったのかなーと理解してます。
It's bizarre, so Joe dismisses him for a while.
But jed is so persistent that Joe can't let him go anymore.
Once Joe meets with Jed, Jed shows up more often at more odd moments, saying something makes Joe feel guilty.
Joe is consumed more and more and his relationship gets rocky.
I didn't understand the movie well.
I think Jed might be just an imaginary man by Joe...
気持ち悪いジェッド役はリス・エヴァンス。
でもシエナ・ミラーと付き合ってたんだよなぁ。。。

Jed is played by Rhys Ifans.
He acts an unique role all the time.
He dated Sienna Miller...Ummm
